Inspired by the pioneers of skiing in North America, this nutcracker pays homage to the adventurous spirit of early skiers. In the late 19th century, Norwegian immigrant Martin A. Strand opened America’s first ski factory, marking the beginning of iconic ski destinations like the Rocky Mountains and Aspen.
The Mountain Skier symbolizes those fearless explorers who charted remote mountain landscapes and created a legacy of adventure. Their stories, still told around campfires in mountain lodges today, are brought to life through this meticulously handcrafted figure.
