Milk Jar is a Canadian candle company founded in Calgary with a mission to create beautiful products that give back. Each candle is hand-poured with a clean-burning coconut soy wax blend and scented with phthalate-free fragrance oils. Milk Jar uses wooden wicks for a soft crackling sound and cozy ambiance. Why Coconut Soy?

Coconut soy wax is a clean-burning, plant-based alternative to traditional paraffin wax. It contains no toxins, carcinogens, or pollutants, making it less likely to trigger allergies or cause respiratory irritation. As a renewable vegetable by-product, coconut soy is both biodegradable and environmentally conscious.

Unlike paraffin, which is derived from petroleum, coconut soy offers a safer, more sustainable burn. A 2009 study by South Carolina State University found that paraffin candles emitted toxic chemicals like toluene and benzene, known carcinogens, while vegetable-based candles did not.

Another benefit? Coconut soy burns 30–50% longer than paraffin, offering more hours of enjoyment.
